Manufacturing of Mox fuel for Japan

On 29th of February 2024, Orano began manufacturing of MOX fuel assemblies at its Melox Plant for The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.’s Units 3 and 4 of the Takahama Power Station.

Orano intends to perform transport of nuclear materials to Japan after completion of manufacturing without delay. However, concrete timing is still to be decided after coordination with concerned parties, taking into account the progress of manufacturing.
