Orano la Hague publishes annual reports providing information on site activities, safety, security and environmental surveillance.

Information report on the Orano la Hague website, prepared in accordance with article L. 125-15 of the Environmental Code.

Under its policy of openness and transparency, Orano Group publishes extensive information on its activities and facilities, particularly in the economic, environmental, social and societal fields.
Concurrent to this proactive approach, each operator of a Group Basic Nuclear Facility (BNF) produces, in accordance with Article L. 125-15 of the Environmental Code, an annual report on the measures instituted to ensure nuclear safety and radiation protection. These widely circulated reports are also an opportunity to present the activities carried out each site in all their magnitude.
These reports published since 2007 can be downloaded from the site.
Lastly, any request made by an external stakeholder under Article* L. 125-10 of the Environmental Code must be addressed to the Communications Department of the Orano la Hague website.

* Requests concerning risks related to exposure to ionising radiation that may result from this activity and the safety and radiation protection measures taken to prevent or reduce these risks or exposures.

Progress of waste recovery and conditioning projects at the Orano la Hague site

This document presents a progress report on each of the waste recovery and conditioning (RCD) projects underway at the Orano la Hague site, with the aim of informing the public, in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Authority's decision No. 2014-DC-0472 of 9 December 2014. This report is transmitted in parallel to the Local Information Commission.

Processing used fuel from foreign sources, at the la Hague plant

This report (french only), required by Article L 542-2-1-II of the Environmental Code, presents an inventory of radioactive materials and waste at the Orano la Hague site. It also presents a review of the French and foreign fuels processed and the contracts signed.
This report is forwarded to the Local Information Commission. It is also available on request from the Communications Department of Orano la Hague.

Orano la Hague Annual Environmental Monitoring Report

This report presents the environmental policy and the results of environmental surveillance. It also offers access to social and economic information about Orano la Hague, to all interested parties.

In addition to providing regular information to the Marcoule-Gard Local Information Commission (CLI), Melox has, since 2007, published an informative report on nuclear safety and radiation protection, in accordance with the requirements of the law on transparency and safety in nuclear matters.

Radioactive Materials and Waste Management


As radioactive material and waste management addresses numerous safety, industrial and societal challenges, Orano keeps in constant contact with all the respective providers and stakeholders, and actively contributes:

  • To the drafting of the National Radioactive Materials and Waste Management Plan (PNGMDR) under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition and the ASN;
  • The work carried out by the High Committee for Transparency and Information on Nuclear Safety (HCTISN), in particular that relating to "transparency in the management of nuclear materials and waste produced at each stage of the fuel cycle"
  • To the National Inventory of Radioactive Materials and Waste
