This license, obtained in less than one year, is a key step allowing us to pursue developments for our customers all around the world.
A US license has been submitted to the American safety authority, the NRC, for the United States market, and a first-of-a-kind production has started in October. The assembly is targeted for the summer of 2021, the first cask is expected to be commissioned at the end of 2023.
Our manufacturing factory for the TN Eagle will be demonstrated as fully operational with this cask in 2023. Ideally located at the Cherbourg port, France, as deliveries throughout the world could be ensured via maritime route, the factory’s capacity will initially be 10 casks per year, upgraded to 30 casks per year within 24 months.
The TN Eagle will be manufactured with an innovative process, without welding, which optimizes the manufacturing process with a high robustness, and our facility will enable us to deliver packaging to our customers in less than 15 months between the launch of the forged shell and the final packaging acceptance.
