BETHESDA, Md. – Orano Federal Services (Orano FS), a subsidiary of Orano USA, has been selected by the Department of Energy Environmental Management Office (DOE EM) for the competitively awarded Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Nationwide Deactivation, Decommissioning and Removal (DD&R) contract.
DOE EM will use the contract to acquire DD&R services from the group of selected companies to further DOE’s mission of environmental clean-up at sites across the nation, as well as support other DOE office missions, and could be used to support other federal agencies that may require DOE EM assistance.
“Building on our successful commercial DD&R experience and supported by a strong team of partners, we look forward to supporting DOE in accomplishing this mission,” said Dr. Dorothy Davidson, president of Orano FS.
As the prime on this DD&R contract, Orano is leading an expert team of subcontractors:
Orano and NorthStar are also teamed in a commercial joint venture named Accelerated Decommissioning Partners (ADP) and are conducting the expedited removal of shutdown U.S. nuclear energy facilities.
The IDIQ master contract is for 10 years with a total potential value of $3 billion in task orders to be bid under this contract.
