Orano Begins Hiring for Project Ike Enrichment Facility in Tennessee

Job Fair on December 3 in Bethesda, MD, and online postings promote open job positions for Project Ike, including roles based in Oak Ridge, TN, and Bethesda, MD.
BETHESDA, Md., November 22, 2024 – Orano recently began hiring for its planned Project Ike enrichment facility in Oak Ridge, TN, by posting more than 20 open job positions based in Oak Ridge, TN, and at its Bethesda, MD, headquarters.

The posted jobs include a variety of engineers, project planners, construction managers, licensing engineers, quality assurance staff, and systems engineers.

Interested applicants can register and attend an in-person Project Ike Job Fair from 4 - 7:00 p.m. ET on December 3 at Orano’s U.S. headquarters located at 4747 Bethesda Ave., Bethesda, Md. For job fair registration, send name and interested job position to: careers@orano.group.

On September 4, 2024, Orano USA announced its selection of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, as the preferred site for establishing a multi-billion-dollar uranium enrichment facility. With this significant milestone achieved, work is underway for achieving the next required steps, including securing available Federal support and customer commitments, and obtaining an NRC license and Orano’s Board approval.

In total, more than 300 direct operational jobs are expected to be created through Project Ike with a mix of professional and skilled workers, including management, engineers, safety professionals, laboratory technicians, training personnel, maintenance staff, health physics technicians, security force personnel, and transportation specialists.
