Waste Management and Characterisation Intern

To provide support to the Waste management Team across a range of activities, including;

• Development of tools and packages for the Waste discipline which help the team to produce high quality documents at an accelerated timescale:
  
  - A BAT (best Available techniques) assessment and Optioneering tool/template, which will enable the team to offer BAT assessment and optioneering as a waste management decommissioning Service. It would also be accompanied by a work breakdown structure and/or fragment of the various steps of the work involved in BAT/Optioneering – such as gathering information, producing the documentation, and carrying out the workshop. At all points, it would contain references to best practice and guidance notes.  This will allow the business to support nuclear site licensing on various waste management and environmental BAT assessment that they need to do to determine most suitable waste management solution,  
  
  
•      To Support the characterization team on development of the Characterisation strategy and Characterisation plans for various waste management projects
•     Drafting of case studies on all ongoing projects
•     Support waste team on the ongoing project work such as Enterprise POCO, RAD, Waste OU

During the internship period here at Orano limited, the intern will be involved in collaborating with the waste team and management of his/her time to ensure they can commit to the set deliverables in a timely manner.
