Orano TN is seeking a Transportation Engineer to support transportation of radioactive materials. 

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop lashing plans for the securement of radioactive materials in accordance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and engineering principles.
  • Provide technical support regarding transportation regulations, including applicability determination and methods for compliance.
  • Provide field operations support on the resolution of technical issues and/or process improvements involving packaging and transportation of radioactive materials.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and manuals related to the operations and maintenance of radioactive material packaging. 
  • Provide technical support during design and licensing activities involving radioactive material transportation packaging.

Please Note: The provided pay information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.

 

Salary Range:  $80,000-$100,000

Ideal qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this   opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

  • BS in Engineering, plus 0-2 years of related experience.  An advanced degree (MS or MBA) may substitute for 1-2 years and (PhD) may substitute for 2-3 years of related work experience. In applicable states a PE license will be accepted in lieu of a 4-year engineering degree.
  • Differentiating: Demonstrated technical leadership skills and previous experience with packaging or transportation of hazardous materials. 
  • Basic knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria.
  • Basic communication skills and the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to communicate well with multiple organizations; experience working within teams.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
