Job Description
TN Americas, a subsidiary of Orano, is seeking an Area Engineering Specialist to support TN Fabrication’s facility in Kernersville/Greensboro. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of welding/fabrication plus manufacturing engineering experience.
- Demonstrate ownership of processes & equipment in assigned manufacturing areas
- Develop & oversee manufacturing concepts to simplify/improve manufacturing processes to ensure best practices are utilized
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by optimizing product flow, footprint requirements, and cell layout
- Prepare product & process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Lead continuous improvement efforts by maintaining priority list of improvement projects to drive efficiency and productivity
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Develop production strategies for new products to include identifying equipment and staffing models
- Ability to design & build fixturing/tooling/lifting devices for manufacturing of legacy & new products, to include load testing and maintaining inventory of such devices
- Assures product & process quality by reviewing & designing test methods and procedures
- Maintain equipment functionality by coordinating maintenance & repair services with Facilities team per manufacturer's instructions/guidelines or requesting special services
- Confer with Vendors & provide technical specification for equipment purchases
- Maintains professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and government regulations
- Provide manufacturing feedback to Design & Engineering teams

Please Note: The provided pay information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range: $70,000-100,000

Ideal qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:
- Strong communication skills – Convey ideas to all levels of the Organization.
Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
Proficient with modeling software (Autocad, Solidworks or equivalent)
Able to interpret complex technical designs, blueprints and drawings.
Able to design and fabricate fixturing and tooling.
Strong knowledge and understanding of production processes, costs analysis to improve efficiency and productivity.
Advanced knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
