TN Americas, a subsidiary of Orano USA, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Procurement Specialist within its procurement team, reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain. The Procurement Specialist is based at Orano’s manufacturing plant in Kernersville, NC, and is the heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of the fabrication activities, as well as planning for future opportunities.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead Procurement activities for the manufacturing plant: Buyer for materials and services related to the plant fabrication activities
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, develop, and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue requests for proposal for solicitations, perform proposal openings, and conduct detailed analysis of supplier proposals. Resolve all technical and administrative issues identified by the Supplier and the Manufacturing team
  • Ensures that project procurement requirements are understood and that procured products and services meet lead-time, price and quality requirements
  • Perform post-placement contract administration, including but not limited to the following: continuous communication with supplier, negotiating and placing purchase order amendments, proactively following contract line items and special contact clauses or claims, preparing reports as needed to support requirements and/or stakeholders requests, and closing the purchase order in a timely manner.
  • Gain knowledge of supplier operations, technical capabilities, supply chain vulnerabilities and performance, perform supplier visits as required for sourcing or supplier development
  • Analyze entire supply chain (integrated approach to purchasing) to maximize profitability and achieve objectives
  • Develop and enhances mutually beneficial supply chain relationships to ensure timely and competitive quotes as well as maximizing profitability
  • Engage and coordinates with line managers, quality, inventory management, to implement appropriate commodity/supply strategies
  • Participate as key member of Cross Functional Teams (CFT) in supplier relationship activities such as selection, rationalization, development, performance measurement and recognition

 

Please Note: The provided salary information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Range: $80,000-$105,000

Ideal qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this   opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the nuclear or highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense). Experience with vendor qualification processes, managing contracts for highly specialized and critical components, knowledge of steel/aluminum and fabrication services is a plus
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Understanding of technical specifications and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards. preferably familiarity with Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) standards and other relevant quality control and assurance
  • Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance, cost structures, and market trends.
  • Able to handle manufacturing / plant processing tight deadlines and urgencies.
  • High ethical standards and integrity, given the critical nature of the nuclear industry and the importance of adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Preferred:  A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration a related field or equivalent relevant experience
