Electrical I&C Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical I&C Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will work on complex engineering assignments in electrical power, instrumentation, and controls. You'll contribute to develop network architecture and design, develop software interfaces, and provide crucial project operations support.

 Key Responsibilities

- Define the technical requirements related to I&C and Process Control

- Define architecture for electrical power systems and instrumentation & control solutions

- Perform check and review of reference plant technical documents: process control principle, systems description and functional analysis

- Define and manage interfaces

- Assist in defining the IROFS strategy (Items Relied On For Safety) and process control impact

- Assist in verification and validation (V&V) processes

- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and procedures

- Develop and adapt methods, systems, or models in electrical I&C engineering

- Research and propose best practices and improvements in the field

Ideal qualifications

Required Qualifications

- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field

- Minimum 3 years of experience in I&C engineering

- Proficiency in PLC and User Interface Programming, particularly with Allen Bradley and Schneider Electric systems

- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

- Background in software development, installation, testing, and maintenance for I&C systems

- Ability in project operations support and troubleshooting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or related field

- 5+ years of experience in I&C engineering

- Experience in network design and electrical power systems

- Familiarity with verification and validation (V&V) processes in I&C systems

- Experience in the nuclear energy sector

 

Physical Requirements

- Ability to remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel, and crouch

- Regular computer operation

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
