In this role, you will manage a number of major earth-moving, construction, and facility improvement projects at McClean Lake. Responsibilities include:
· Supervise and mentor Site Services Projects Technicians, and provide effective delegation of daily tasks. Work directly with Site Services Supervisors to coordinate personnel and equipment requirements to support various projects.
· Directly supervise Site Services Planner responsible for site mobile equipment maintenance planning and scheduling
· Advance and maintain department KPIs, department Master Plan, 5S initiatives and other OE reporting tools and programs
· Propel sustainment strategy for all 5S programs/areas operating in the Site Services Group
· Administer capital project portfolio of medium and long-term departmental projects aligning with Saskatoon Engineering and Projects support requirements
· Follow and lead OCI tendering process development of all necessary tender documents and specifications associated with tendering various design, construction or maintenance projects
· Manage maintenance of McClean Lake of geotechnical structures of concern including the coordination of performing necessary repairs and providing technical guidance as required
· Site liaison to maintain ICMM Global Industry standards on Tailings Management
· Evaluate and provide thorough and critical review of all civil-related engineering reports and studies relevant to projects at McClean Lake
· Ensure all budget proposals are completed for all capital projects managed by the Site Services Group
· Administer Site Services Asset management risk review process, provide insight on anticipated failures, and develop & maintain the Group’s mobile and fixed equipment capital replacement schedule
· Responsible for all work associated with preparing monthly and annual departmental reports
· Serve as the department representative in the absence of the Site Services and Supply Chain Manager
· Promote and support Operational Excellence and OE Culture

Skills and Qualifications we’re seeking:
· University degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and training
· Minimum of 15 years related experience in direct coordination of heavy equipment earth moving projects or a related field
· Project Management Professional certification from Project Management Institute is preferred
· Experienced and proficient in the application and facilitation of the Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence initiatives
· Competent in MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD C3D, SURPAC and survey data management/maintenance applications
· Education, knowledge and experience in fleet operations and maintenance, construction and maintenance of roadways and buildings
· Ability to analyze complex engineering and maintenance issues and problems and to evaluate alternative solutions and develop sound conclusions, recommendations and courses of action
· Ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive technical reports, correspondence and other written materials

· McClean Lake
· 10-day in/ 10-day out rotating schedule, but may vary based on project needs
· Normally an 11-hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
