Job description

Orano Canada is a leading producer of uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy! Our McClean Lake mill is the most technologically-advanced mill in the world for the processing of high-grade uranium ore without dilution. As a member of the Site Services team, your skills will play a crucial role in ensuring  our facilities are running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include: 

·         Plan, schedule and track progress of all work orders for the Services Group

·         Develop, manage and optimize the preventative/predictive maintenance program along with tracking of any equipment usage and maintenance performance metrics within the Services Group

·         Review and process all completed work orders transferring handwritten details into SAP and following up directly with Service Group personnel as required to reconcile details requiring clarification

·         Create, manage and edit Equipment Master Records and Functional Location in SAP for all Service Group Equipment

·         Provide all necessary support in the planning and purchasing of mobile equipment within the Site Services Group

·         Coordinate efforts with Purchasing and Logistics personnel to secure goods and services on site in accordance with equipment availability requirements

·         Initialize new site inventory for the maintenance of all mobile equipment and fixed assets managed by the Services Group

·         Develop and maintain equipment BOM’s to support all equipment managed by Services Group

·         Ensure that all necessary halocarbon records for site are kept current

·         Periodic review and updating of the Services Group work instructions

·         Maintain equipment condition monitoring program (oil samples), review / interpretation of results to monitor and anticipate potential component failures

·         Manage equipment warranty claims, monitor the status of the claims and reviews warranty settlements to ensure funds are appropriately applied

·         Prepare monthly department KPI reporting for the Group as required

·         Promote and support Operational Excellence and OE Culture

Work Location & Schedule: 
·         McClean Lake
·         14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule but adjustments will be required periodically to balance time spent with team
·         Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required

Ideal qualifications

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

·         Journeyperson Heavy Duty/Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical Technician/Technologist or equivalent experience/training

·         3+ years of industrial maintenance planning experience

·         Strong administrative skills and maintenance aptitude

·         Excellent communication skills and good work ethic is essential

·         Knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies is considered an asset

·         Proficiency in SAP, particularly in the Plant Maintenance module, is considered an asset

·         Proficient with using Microsoft Excel

·         Strong organizational skills with an emphasis for detail
