Submittal coordination for responses to NRC requests for supplemental or additional information. 10 CFR 72.48 safety evaluation review and approval. Coordination of DOT competent authority certification applications and interactions. Coordination of foreign-nation competent authority certification applications and interactions. Resolution of corrective action program (CAP) reports. Working with the leadership team to develop licensing compliance positions and strategies. Serving as liaison to outside organizations and NRC inspectors on licensing matters. Preparation of licensing procedures, documents, and regulatory reports to management. The Procurement Specialist is based at Orano’s manufacturing plant in Kernersville, NC, and is the heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of the fabrication activities, as well as planning for future opportunities. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead Procurement activities for the manufacturing plant: Buyer for materials and services related to the plant fabrication activities Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, develop, and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers. Prepare and issue requests for proposal for solicitations, perform proposal openings, and conduct detailed analysis of supplier proposals. Resolve all technical and administrative issues identified by the Supplier and the Manufacturing team Ensures that project procurement requirements are understood and that procured products and services meet lead-time, price and quality requirements Perform post-placement contract administration, including but not limited to the following: continuous communication with supplier, negotiating and placing purchase order amendments, proactively following contract line items and special contact clauses or claims, preparing reports as needed to support requirements and/or stakeholders requests, and closing the purchase order in a timely manner.
