Orano at Nuclear Industry China (NIC) 2018 exhibition in Beijing March 28-31

The 15th China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition took place in Beijing on March 28-31, 2018, and gathered all major players of Chinese and international nuclear industry.

Orano has been at the fore front of the exhibition to demonstrate our commitment to support the development of Chinese nuclear fuel cycle activities, a focus of Orano’s strategic action plan.

NIC 2018 was the first exhibition to which the group participated under its new brand name Orano, which made it an excellent opportunity to promote our new identity in China. Visitors showed keen interest in the reprocessing-recycling activities of Orano and in the Chinese 800t commercial reprocessing-recycling plant project which is been discussed with our partner CNNC.

The event was highlighted by the visits of Mr. LIU Hua, Vice-Minister of Ministry of Ecological Environment (MEE) and Director of NNSA (National Nuclear Safety Administration), Mr. WANG Yiren, Vice-Chairman of CAEA (China Atomic Energy Authority) and Mr. WANG Shoujun, Chairman of CNNC (China National Nuclear Corporation) to the booth of Orano.

Alongside NIC 2018, the 5th ASEM (Asia-Europe) Seminar on Nuclear Safety provided a platform to discuss nuclear safety challenges in the 21st century, where Jean-Pierre GROS, Senior VP Back-end at Orano China delivered a presentation on safety principles and post-Fukushima measures implemented at la Hague reprocessing plant of Orano in France.
